"I entered this class with uncertain expectations. Can giving change the world? I had no idea how to go about answering that question, or even what that question was really asking. What kind of giving? How much? I felt daunted and unequipped to voice any sort of stance on the issue, let alone to form a concrete or resolute opinion. I also had no idea what the coming weeks would bring for me academically, I have to say that now that they’ve reached their conclusion, the experience has blown away any limited expectations I had. At the start of the class, I hoped that I would learn a little bit more about nonprofits and philanthropy, as it’s a topic I found mildly interesting. I had absolutely no way of knowing the class would strengthen any unyielding passion for social entrepreneurship (a concept I wasn’t even aware existed) as well as offering unparalleled and unique experiences. I got so much out of this class."

"So, can giving change the world? Can a simple idea or solution to a huge problem make a real difference? This course has shown me that not only can giving change the world, but it absolutely does. To tell the truth, giving may be the only way to make change on such a global level. It is absolutely necessary to teach and learn selflessness while inspiring people to take the initiative to set in motion original solutions to historically extensive problems. This class did that. It gave me the background information I need to enter this sector with confidence and, most importantly, the determination to really change the world."
