"My experience in English 396 has been a transformative one. Although I have had the intentions of working in the non-profit sector for quite some time, I had never truly experienced something so hands on. It was an honor to go through the process with such a wide variety of students that I wouldn't normally have the chance to work with. We were able to see firsthand how many amazing organizations exist within our community. This course really reiterated the value of hard work when it presents an opportunity to do good. I completed this semester knowing that working in the non-profit sector is something I could see myself doing, and enjoy doing, for the rest of my life. "
